For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover. We deliver the excellent care at a reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. We work with CareCredit for dental/medical financing if a payment plan is more convenient for you. You may apply online by visiting their website though the link. We are providers for several insurance plans, but we are not members of every insurance plan. Many dental and medical plans offer “out of network” coverage where they may reimburse for a significant portion of a procedure. Other plans may only offer coverage if you see an “in-network” provider. If you are not sure about your plan, you may want to check with your insurance benefits coordinator. Also, be aware that many dental plans have a yearly maximum payment, e.g., a root canal and crown may use up most of your dental benefits for a given year.
Because oral surgery treatment overlaps into the medical and dental fields, please bring both your medical and dental insurance cards to your appointment. Some treatments may be covered only by your medical plan, e.g., facial trauma; others may be covered only by your dental insurance, e.g., dental extractions: and some procedures may be covered by both, e.g., impacted wisdom teeth, but it depends upon how your particular contract is written. There can be exclusions and exceptions written into your particular plan. We can assist you in “predetermination of benefits” but be aware that the turn-around time can be two weeks to two months depending on your particular insurance carrier.
We are happy to assist you in any way that we can to maximize your insurance benefits but please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.
We submit a statement electronically to your insurance carrier on the day of the service. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. We will send you a statement after your insurance company has made a payment. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated.
