At Cincinnati Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Inc. we make every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this we work with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They are well informed and up-to-date.
Although we do not accept all insurance plans, we will submit claims to all insurance companies, meaning, if you do not have one of the following insurance plans, we will submit your claim to your insurance company anyway and there is a good chance that they will cover some of your procedure.*
Insurance plans we accept:
- Dental Care Plus
- Delta Dental Premier
We are providers for several insurance plans, but we are not members of every plan. Many medical and dental plans offer “out-of-network” coverage where they may reimburse for a significant portion of the procedure. Other plans may only offer coverage if you see an “in-network” provider. If you are not sure about your plan, you may want to check with your insurance benefits coordinator. Also be aware that many dental plans have a yearly maximum payment, e.g., a root canal and crown may use up most of your dental benefits for a given year.
Because oral surgery treatment overlaps into the medical and dental fields, please bring both your medical and insurance cards to your appointment. Some treatments may be covered by your medical plan, e.g., facial trauma: others may only be covered by your dental plan, e.g., dental extractions; and some may be covered by both, e.g., impacted wisdom teeth, but it depends upon how your particular contract is written. There can be exclusions and exceptions written into your particular plan. We can assist you in “predetermination of benefits” but be aware that the turn-around time can be two weeks to two months depending on your particular insurance carrier.
Please call if you have any questions or concerns regarding your initial visit.
We will be happy to file all dental and medical insurance claims for you and we will submit them electronically the same day of treatment.
*(Every insurance plan differs, we will not know how much coverage you will have until the insurance claim is submitted and the insurance company responds to the claim.)
